Blood is drawn from your arm and then placed in a centrifuge to separate the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). This completely natural serum is micro-needled into the skin, which has been pre-numbed. A “mask” of the PRP is ideally left on the skin for 24 hours. The treatment time is approximately 75-90 minutes.
Treatments should be carried out no more than quarterly. However, microneedling with other serums can be done more regularly. The number of treatments required will depend upon your skin condition.
Immediately after treatment, your skin will feel tight and a little tender … a bit like sunburn. Once you rinse off the plasma “mask”, your skin will be pink for 24-48 hours and feel dry and flaky for a further 2-3 days. This is perfectly normal and should not cause concern.
